Privacy policy

Alex personal gog CLI is a private-use OAuth app for Alex Hostetler's own Google account. It uses Google's APIs when Alex runs gog commands. No other users are invited to authorize this app.

Data accessed and use

The app may access Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Contacts, and other Google services listed on the consent screen. Alex uses this access to read, create, update, or delete their own data through the locally installed tool. The specific data accessed depends on the command Alex chooses.

Storage and sharing

OAuth credentials and refresh tokens are stored locally using gog's encrypted keyring. Alex keeps a private backup of the OAuth client credentials in a password manager. Google data returned by a command may appear in local command output or in files Alex explicitly creates.

This app has no hosted server and does not sell Google user data or use it for advertising. When Alex chooses to use an AI assistant with gog, data included in the assistant's context may be processed by that provider under its own terms and privacy policy.

Control and deletion

Alex can stop using the app, remove its local tokens, and revoke its access in Google Account settings. Files created from Google data are under Alex's control.
